I lack self-awareness like when I fold unwashed clothes
or stub my toe on the same leg or stay with
the same man. This towel is for display only. Do not damp
to stop the bleeding or the bruising. I know alcohol is the secret
ingredient to destroy 99% of bacteria: microbes
based on symbiosis. The unseen forming an attraction.
But their love has a small chance to kill me.
When I pour the disinfectant, the bubbles foam
like disintegrating mermaids who waited for the one,
another mistranslation of how stories should end.
